Resumen:

La selección de estos textos es el resultado de muchos años preparando a opositores de Enseñanza Secundaria y de Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas (Inglés).

Al plantear las preguntas hemos procurado tener en cuenta los distintos tipos de exámenes que han aparecido a lo largo de los años en las distintas Comunidades Autónomas. Estos textos se centran exclusivamente en la práctica que se indica en los puntos que se enumeran a continuación y sirven de complemento a nuestro Volumen Práctico.

- Hay un total de 28 textos divididos en tres partes para trabajar por trimestre, mes o día, según te venga mejor: Parte I: Textos 1-10, Parte II: Textos 11-19 y Parte III: Textos 20-28.

- Los textos han sido seleccionados fundamentalmente por su vocabulario, su contenido y su dificultad.

- Son todos textos del siglo XX, bien de literatos o de ensayo periodístico. En algún caso excepcional se han sacado de la prensa popular, debido a su interés idiomático.

- La mayoría de los textos tienen una serie de preguntas de comprensión, de expansión o de comprensión y expansión.

- La mayoría de los textos tienen ejercicios para el análisis detallado de palabras.

- La mayoría de los textos tienen un ejercicio de transcripción fonética.

- Con la mayoría de los textos se pide que se escriba una redacción sobre un tema relacionado.

- Algunos textos tienen traducción al castellano.

- La Parte IV incluye la clave de las respuestas a los 28 textos, siempre que haya sido posible, y la transcripción fonética de las palabras o texto a transcribir.
